 Alfred Ezman - World Baseball Network  |    Mar 24th, 2025 2:25pm EDT

Here are the updated World Baseball Network college baseball rankings as of March 24.

The number next to the team’s name indicates how much they moved from last week’s rankings. A (-) sign indicates no movement and/or a new team into the top 25.

1. Tennessee Volunteers (22-2, 5-1 SEC, (-) from last week) – The Tennessee Volunteers have yet to move from the top spot this year. They stay put this week after a big series win on the road against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

2. Arkansas Razorbacks (23-2, 5-1 SEC, +2 from last week) – A sweep against the South Carolina Gamecocks showed just how good Arkansas can be. They outscored USC 35-9 this weekend and scored 11 or more runs in every game.

3. Georgia Bulldogs (24-2, 5-1 SEC, +2 from last week) – The Georgia Bulldogs stormed into Gainesville and got a big series sweep against the Florida Gators. They outscored the Gators 40-13 and hit five home runs as a team in Saturday’s matchup.

4. Florida State Seminoles (20-3, 5-1 ACC, -1 from last week) – All in all, Florida State had a good weekend with a series win over the Miami Hurricanes on the road. An ugly 9-3 midweek loss to Mercer drops them back a spot. However, this is still a top five team in college baseball.

5. Clemson Tigers (23-2, 4-2 ACC, +1 from last week) – Clemson cracks the top five with a statement series win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The Tigers won the Sunday game in thrilling fashion with Tryston McCladdie scoring on a wild pitch to end the game and clinch the series win.

6. Oregon State Beavers (18-4, +1 from last week) – Oregon State went on the road and got a series win over Cal Poly. This, combined with a midweek win over Rutgers, moves them up a spot knocking on the door of being a top five team.

7. Texas Longhorns (19-3, 5-1 SEC, +1 from last week) – The Texas Longhorns are perhaps the biggest winners from this past weekend. They earned a series win over LSU who was ranked second in the country. The Longhorns have started SEC play 5-1 in their first year in the league.

8. LSU Tigers (22-3, 4-2 SEC, -6 from last week) – LSU ended up losing a series in Austin to Texas. Despite this setting them back a bit, they did grab one win against the Longhorns on Friday. The Tigers, with all that talent, remain a top ten team in the country.

9. Oregon Ducks (19-5, 7-2 Big Ten, +4 from last week) – Oregon moved up a bit because a lot of teams ahead of them lost their series. The Ducks defeated Rutgers in a weekend series to move to 19-5 overall, and 7-2 in Big Ten play.

10. Oklahoma Sooners (20-3, 4-2 SEC, +5 from last week) – Oklahoma is having a decent first season in the SEC. They got their second straight series win in conference play against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Sooners are now 20-3 overall in the 2025 college baseball season.

11. North Carolina Tar Heels (18-6, 4-5 ACC, +3 from last week) – North Carolina found stability this weekend with a series win on the road against Boston College. This is their first series win in conference play. A midweek loss to UConn causes them to stay out of the top 10, though.

12. N.C. State Wolfpack (17-7, 4-2 ACC, +4 from last week) – The North Carolina State Wolfpack had a productive week. A 13-0 shutout win over Davidson was followed up with a series win over the weekend against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

13. Alabama Crimson Tide (22-3, 4-2 SEC, -1 from last week) – Alabama was riding high heading into this weekend until the Tennessee Volunteers were able to take them down. The Crimson Tide did get a game against the Vols. They also won a tough midweek game against South Alabama.

14. Vanderbilt Commodores (19-5, 4-2 SEC, +4 from last week) – After a series loss against Auburn to open SEC play, Vanderbilt gets a big sweep at home against Texas A&M. The 15-0 start at Hawkins Field is the best start at home for the Commodores since 2007.

15. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (19-6, 7-2 ACC, -6 from last week) – A series loss for Wake Forest on the road against Clemson moves them back two spots. They also dropped a midweek game against the Liberty Flames.

16. Florida Gators (18-8, 0-6 SEC, -6 from last week) – Florida got swept at home against the Georgia Bulldogs after they were looking to bounce back from a series loss against Tennessee. Florida has been swept in back-to-back SEC series for the first time since 2001.

17. Arizona Wildcats (18-5, 5-1 Big 12, +2 from last week) – Arizona moves up in the rankings a couple spots after a midweek win against Kansas and a weekend series win against West Virginia. The Wildcats have now begun Big 12 play 5-1.

18. Auburn Tigers (19-5, 4-2 SEC, +5 from last week) – Auburn went on the road and defeated Kentucky to get their second straight series win to being SEC play. The Tigers are now 19-5 overall this season and 4-2 in the SEC.

19. Dallas Baptist Patriots (16-7, 2-1 C-USA, +2 from last week) – Dallas Baptist won their weekend series against Middle Tennessee. They defeated the Blue Raiders on Friday and Saturday, outscoring them 35-7 in those two matchups.

20. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (20-4, 7-2 ACC, unranked last week) – The Yellow Jackets pop into the rankings after winning all four of their games this week. This includes a midweek victory over Gardner-Webb and a weekend sweep against Notre Dame on the road in South Bend, Ind.

21. Duke Blue Devils (16-9, 5-4 ACC, unranked last week) – Head coach Chris Pollard’s team found their footing in a series sweep against Virginia. The Blue Devils also defeated UConn 12-2 in their midweek matchup.

22. Troy Trojans (18-6, 4-2 Sun Belt, unranked last week) – The Troy Trojans not only beat the University of Alabama-Birmingham Blazers at Rickwood Field, but they also beat Coastal Carolina in two out of three games in the biggest mid-major matchup this weekend.

23. UC Irvine Anteaters (17-5, 8-1 Big West, unranked last week) – UC Irvine has now won six games in a row. A series sweep against UC Santa Barbara was the icing on the cake to what has been a big run for head coach Ben Orloff’s team.

24. TCU Horned Frogs (17-7, 3-3 Big 12, unranked last week) – The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs re-enter the top 25 after a great week. They defeated Texas Tech in a weekend series. Before that, they picked up a big midweek win against Dallas Baptist.

25. Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (18-6, 5-1 Sun Belt, unranked last week) – Southern Miss has a claim to possibly be the best mid-major in college baseball. They are coming off a fabulous week as they defeated Ole Miss in a midweek matchup and swept Louisiana-Monroe over the weekend.

Matchups to Watch this Week in College Baseball (March 24-30)

Clemson Tigers v. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (March 28-30) – Georgia Tech is starting to turn heads in the college baseball world. However, they head back home to face off against Clemson, possibly the best team in the ACC and a top five team in the country.
