Diablos Rojos del Mexico (1) 3, Guerreros de Oaxaca (6) 1 - Returning to the lineup after missing a few days with neck soreness, Trevor Bauer allowed one run on three hits and a walk in his first start of the playoffs for the Diablos.

The lone blemish on the start by the 2020 National League Cy Young Award winner was a solo homer by Oaxaca’s Mel Rojas Jr. in the bottom of the seventh. Bauer struck out 10 Guerreros and Oaxaca was 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position.

Julian Ornelas opened the scoring with an RBI single in the top of the first that scored Jon Singleton to give the Diablos a 1-0 lead. Franklin Barreto hit a solo homer, his first of the playoffs, in the top of the fourth, In the seventh, with Ornelas at bat, a balk by Oaxaca reliever Thyago Vieira sent Carlos Sepulveda home with an insurance run.

The win gives the Diablos a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, with Game 4 scheduled for tonight at 9 p.m. EDT.

Bravos de Leon (4) 10, Olmecas de Tabasco (2) 7 (10 Innings) - Esteban Quiroz sent the first pitch he saw from Jimmy Cordero over the wall in the bottom of the 10th for a three-run homer, giving the Bravos the win in extra innings and the Bravos a 2-1 series lead. 

Carlos Martinez and Luis Medina each had a pair of RBIs in the win for Leon, and Aderlin Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a solo homer.

Jose Godoy hit a solo homer for Tabasco.

Leon leads the series two games to one, with Game 4 scheduled for tonight at 9:30 p.m. EDT.

Toros de Tijuana (1) 9, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (6) 3 - Justin Turner’s three-run double in the sixth turned a solid Toros lead into an insurmountable obstacle, putting Tijuana up 8-2 as the Toros cruised to a 9-3 win in Game 3 of the best-of-seven series.

Gilberto Celestino, Franchy Cordero, Phillip Evans, Wilmer Flores, and Hernan Perez each had an RBI as the Toros spread production up and down the lineup.

Seven Tijuana pitchers combined to hold Union Laguna to three runs on six hits and seven walks. 

Albert Lara had two RBIs for the Algodoneros.

The Toros lead the series 2-1, with Game 3 scheduled for tonight at 9:30 p.m. in Torreon.

Caliente de Durango (2) 7, Acereros de Monclova (4) 0 - Spencer Turnbull threw six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and a walk, striking out seven as the Caliente melted the Acereros in Game 3.

Yariel Gonzalez provided all the offense Durango would need with a two-run single in the top of the second, and Jonathan Villar went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBIs, adding a sac fly in the sixth. 

Durango leads the series 2-1, with Game 4 scheduled for tonight at 9:45 p.m. EDT.
