The start of the winter ball season is more than five months away, but the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico has announced the dates and matchups for each team’s home opener for the 2026-27 season.
On October 13, the season starts with the Jaguares de Nayarit visiting the defending champion Charros de Jalisco at Estadio Panamericano in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, the site of the 2026 Caribbean Series.
The next night, the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, who will host the 2027 Caribbean Series at Estadio Fernando Valenzuela, will open the season against the Aguilas de Mexicali at El Nido de Las Aguilas. In Navojoa, the Mayos return home after a one-year excursion to Tucson, where they will host the Yaquis de Obregon at Estadio Manuel “Ciclon” Echeverria, the Caneros de Los Mochis will host the Algodoneros de Guasave, and the Venados de Mazatlan will host the Tomateros de Culiacan.
A full slate of games on October 15 will feature Jalisco at Nayarit, Mexicali at Hermosillo, Navojoa at Obregon, Los Mochis at Guasave, and Mazatlan at Culiacan.
The LAMP plays a 68-game regular season scheduled divided into two halves. Teams are awarded a number of points based upon where they finish in the standings in each half, with first place getting 10 points, second place getting nine, and so on. The teams are seeded in order of total points for the playoffs, with the team with the highest number of points being seeded first, the team with the eighth-most points seeded eighth, and the teams with the ninth- and 10th-most points missing the playoffs. The teams then play traditional best-of-seven series until the championship is awarded.
